  • Same issue here since last version of EC.
syntax [events_calendar scope=”future” category=”1234″] shows only category events in the current month. when trying to navigate in other month after the current one, calendar is unfortunately empty.

same syntax with [events_list] works perfectly well…

Maybe a quick fix in a near future ?

    All my best,

this is a serious problem that needs to be solved!

I left “Events Made Easy” to “Events Manager” and I found myself worse than before!

I just updated EM to 5.5.4 (from 5.5.3.1) and my full month-view calendar is now empty. I display it on a page using this shortcode: [events_calendar long_events=1 full=1]. Another page using table view (shortcode [events_list_grouped]) seems unaffected.

Hmmm. Events suddenly started showing up again in full calendar. Possibly some sort of browser cache matter. Never mind!

you were lucky! To me it still does not work

Have you tried upgrading to Events Manager 5.5.4?

In fact, the problem seems to be with 5.5.4
Will try to downgrade to an older version and see what heppen…
Anyway, this plugin is really impressive…

    I’ll keep your informed here…

I downgraded the version. Now is running.

    Thanks

Hi all, yes if this is a bug in 5.5.4 we’d certainly come out with a fix quick

however, if you look at our demo server, the calendar is working fine:
    https://demo.wp-events-plugin.com/calendar/normal-calendar/

is it ALL events not showing, including when you go back to the month that did show events? are you logged in when viewing the calendar? anything else that may point to why this isn’t working for you?

If this helps at all: I just updated a second site using EM (almost indentical to the first site except for content), from 5.5.3.1 to 5.5.4. After I did the update, all content vanished from the month view, current and past months — but like the other site it reappeared again after a few screen refreshes. In the meantime, I’d made no other changes to the system. In fact, the only thing I did, besides screen refresh, is click the “please see this post” link (about the Tim Thumb retirement) that appeared at the top of the admin dashboard after the EM update.

Do you guys have a cache plugin running? That could be playing a role.

Well, downgrading from 5.5.4 to 5.5.3 solve the issue in my humble case.
@marcus: with 5.5.4 only events of the current month are displayed but only if the user do not move forward to another month. Going back to the current month and the events disappear…
Bug appears whith logged and anonymous users
@caimin: unfortunately, no cache plugin activated here but will investigate by disabling extensions like Visual Composer and Contact Form 7 or by changing to a standard theme.

    Bad news from the frontline!
disabling all the plugins and using a standard theme does not solve issue..
if you want to see the bug in action, rendez-vous here:

    3 events displayed in December
Try to move in January 2015 and go back to December…tadaaa !!!

    All my best,

Phil, thanks for the link. I can now reproduce it, but only if using the category attribute.

I think those that saw it magically start working again may have been a different issue.

Will keep you updated here when a dev version is out, shouldn’t be long.

no worries at all…Bug hunting is now open !!
happy to contribute to 5.5.5 ??
    Phil
