• Hello,

    WP v3.51
    EFB v1.3.4.9

Everything works great except I am not seeing the fullscreen option button on the video player. It currently is successfully displaying the player as specified by the Easy Fancybox(EFB) media settings for sizing the player, but for some reason I am not seeing the fullscreen button using the suggested technique in your FAQ utilizing the &fs=1 param.

I want that ‘Show in full-screen’ button on my YouTube movies

Append &fs=1 to your YouTube share URL.

    <a href="https://youtu.be/kYq5dGQHjkM?hd=1&fs=1&autoplay=1">my thumbnail image</a>

In my case, the player that displays is the html5 player vs flash player. Not exactly sure if that is a youtube default when not using the embedded code?

Can you suggest a better method to accomplish the same approach where I use my personal thumbnail image as the link for users to click on which then displays the youtube video player (in the Fancybox overlay) with the dimensions specified by the EFB settings with a fullscreen option?

    Keith

    Additional Info –

Ok, I think this issue is now moot. I was using firefox browser and then tried it with chrome and the videos were using the flash which included the fullscreen option. Then I went back to the firefox browser which is suddenly is now using the flash player with fullscreen option. I do not know why at first it was using the html5 player vs flash, but I did discover that the html5 player does not support &fs=1 yet. Which is why it wasn’t displaying. So there is no need to bother with this post unless someone can explain why the html5 player would be used vs flash and what causes this to happen to possibly prevent it later on.

    Thanks, Keith

    Hi Keith,

Do you have a link to your site? I wonder if it has something to do with having subscribed to https://www.youtube.com/html5 and I would like to test with some different browsers to try and reproduce the issue…

    Thanks ??
