    Hello there,

    First of all many thanks for the plugin we really love it!

    1 – We are unable to test the full screen prompt. the automatic prompt works well but when we switch to full screen one nothing happens

    2 – we know you dont support custom post types (even if we really love to have that option! any plans for it?) is there any way we can easily add that option to our custom post types? We only post through them.

    many thanks!

  • Hi therethere,

    1. Regarding the alternate full-screen prompt. It won’t display automatically (it would be very surprising for users if a half-black full-window prompt appeared suddenly). If you add custom JavaScript code to call our web SDK method:

    OneSignal.push([“registerForPushNotifications”, {modalPrompt: true}]);

    Then you should see the alternate full-screen prompt. Alternatively, you can add our “Subscribe to notifications” widget to your sidebar, and we’ll also remember you chose the full-screen prompt setting and clicking “Subscribe to notifications” will trigger the full-screen prompt. We don’t really recommend this text widget though and have removed it from our setup documentation as it isn’t configurable and displays regardless of whether the user has subscribed, is unsubscribed, or has blocked notifications.

    2. We’ve added initial support for custom post types. We’re hoping it doesn’t bug out too much, but you should be seeing a OneSignal box on the right sidebar in your custom post editor. If you don’t see it, we’d love to know what plugin you’re using (with the version and hopefully a link) so that we can test with it.

    Ahh good to know!! Many thanks! We have pods plugin and we can can confirm that the alert box shows up indeed on the right on the custom post edit.

    Any way we can set up to automatically send notifications? Like on the default post.

    Two more questions

    – for some reason the check box to send notifications is deactivated by default but it still send notifications at every publish.

    – What I click on the notification itself it goes to article url but without the main domain. So error not found shows up. Somehow the domain is not showing on the click through on the notification.

    Sorry we missed this. If you still have outstanding questions, please contact us at [email protected]. Marking thread as resolved since your requirements have likely changed by now. Feel free to also a new support thread.
