Fully customizable events calendar

Hi everyone. I am creating the unusual website for events inside the big company. It is being designed by visual designer, and I am responsible for web development and wordpress layout. The website must perform a number of tasks, but at the same time it should look like designer (and of course customer) wants. That’s why i ran into some difficulties.
The main thing on the website is events calendar. Of course I could just add one of events calendar plugins, but as I said earlier, the website should look like customer wants. Plugin’s appearance, functions and facilities are limited. You can just choose one of suggested type of displaying of calendar and customize it using css. This is not even close enough for my tasks. So, my calendar should have a framework of events calendar plugin, but absolutely custom design (visual and UX). The same is for single event page.
So, I understand, that in backend there must be a post type ?Events? with some attributes like date, time and few custom fields. To solve this problem I found a good plugin named ?Pods?. But what to do next?
To let you know what I mean, I attached 2 visual shots: homepage calendar and single event page. So, in fact the calendar looks like cards, sorted by date, with some information on it. Only this month’s events should be displayed (so, they are filtered by month). Also, there will be project pages, and events on project pages should relate only to this project (filtered by project) A single event page should contain some dynamic fields like date, time, content etc.

Additional information: for fronted layout I use Elementor.
