WC core + storefront offers all you need to get started with eCommerce. The addons are optional – and most gateways have free versions etc ‘somewhere’ if you take the time to look.

I’m not sure why your disagreement with WooThemes business model results in a poor rating of this theme?

You can modify Storefront as a child theme, you do not need any of the add-on plugins to do so.
