Sneaky attempt at serving ads with malware
-
A few months ago I raved about Sweet Captcha’s efficiency at blocking spam. I can no longer recommend it, all thanks to a sneaky and dangerous decision by its creators to serve pop-up and pop-under ads. Many of the ads contained malware, ransomware and other dangerous and disturbing content. I spent almost 2 days trying to locate the culprit, and it was this plug in. My original review follows:
Fun and effective.
It’s a fun and effective captcha, blocking all bot/spam comments 100%.
Giving 4 stars because lately there has been downtime of the service. This is not a self-contained plugin and it requires connectivity to the remote server to function.
