• Hey guys,

I purchased a theme from themeforest. XMarket today (yes I know this is not usually the place to get support for outside themes) but Im desperate.

When I try to install the theme, it says it works fine and then when I refresh or try to view the site this error comes up.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_get_theme() in /home/e3live/public_html/wp-content/themes/xmarket/functions.php on line 3

I have tried virtually everything, can someone please help me?

I am uploading only the theme zipped folder not the entire download (as I know that is usually why themes dont work)

I have also attempted to upload the theme via FTP but I find it confusing and might be doing it wrong.

Is it a code on the functions page? Can someone tell me how to fix this pretty please??

    Thank you in advance.

I’m glad you got that out of the way but we don’t support commercial themes here.

It’s not just because we don’t want to deprive authors of support income or mess with their business model, we do not have access to the theme code. Don’t want access either; you really do have to get support from the theme author.

That’s part of what you paid for when you purchased that theme.

You need to update your wordpress version. You might be using WP 3.4 which is why you are getting this error message.

The Author of this theme is totally inactive so, people have started asking for help everywhere…wouldn’t hurt to help…
