Funkybird! Your oppinion?

    Please take a look at Funkybird!. I’ve created this theme almost from the scratch. It’s valid XHTML 1.0 & CSS 2. I’m quite new in WordPress and I’d like to read your opinion.

    It looks very nice, but I would worry about how the header might impact how the theme looks on an older computer with a lower screen resolution! It’s a bit large..

    It looks very nice but I agree with post above. Smaller screens would be an issue. To load the main page is also over 2 mb. Doesn’t matter to me who has 100 mbit connection ans a large screen but if you’re on DSL, like many people are, it will load kind of slowly.

    Thanks for your replies! I do know, that it is too big for old computers with 800×600 resolution. Nevertheless it looks ok on 1024×768 and more (resolution almost for any monitor sold in at least last 5 or six years), so I believe it normal for our target auditory.

    AdventureDad, how have you counted size of this page? As far as I tested it this page is 227857 bytes. Take a look at https://www.websiteoptimization.com/services/analyze/wso.php?url=https://www.funkybird.ru/

    I do know that this page is quite big and rich with graphics, so I plan to optimize my CSS and images…

    in regards to the size of the header… your rationale works if you’re expecting everyone who visits your site to have their browsers maximized. But if they don’t…
