    Fusion slide impossible to translate.

I describe in detail the process:
I go to the Fusion Slider.
I did a slider for english with one slide in english.
I did a slider in french (who is the translation of the english one) with one slide in french (which is the translation of the english one).
I selected the ‘english slider’ for my english page. (in Pages,…)
I selected the ‘french slider’ for my french page.

    Now the issue:
I click on french on the language switcher (at the top, on the ‘admin’ menu)
I go to Fusion slider/Add or Edit Slide.
I change the text to ‘FR’ for my Heading Area.
    I update.
I click on the pen to translate into english.
I click on english on the language switcher (we never know this may have an impact).
I change the text to ‘EN’ for my Heading Area.
    I update.
I click on the pen to double check if the french translation is still ‘FR’ but No it is ‘EN’.

It is like the update is updating both slides with the same content :((

    Please help!

    Hi
If I well understand you have the language metabox in the Sliders options, but not in the Slides options?

    Hello, Chrysti,
No I have them everywhere. at the top of screen, in the slider, and the in the slides pages.
BUT When I change the content of a slide in one language (update) it also change the content of the slide in the other language :((((
If you follow what I wrote upper you should reproduce the case/(bug).
    Best Regards,
    Yann.

I can’t reproduce you issue since Fusion slider is part of the Avada theme and Avada is a premium theme. I didn’t buy it.

Put the filter on “Show all languages”, then could you provide screenshots of your English slide, French slide and of your Polylang settings (Settings > Languages > Settings tab)?
Don’t cut the left menu and the admin top bar on your screenshots, thanks.

You can upload them via https://snag.gy and link to them here.

I update by clicking on ‘update’. Then I switch to the translation by clicking on the pen.

    The slider in FR:

-> I enter FR as a text in the Heading Area (to translate ?? – I click on update. I click on the Pen to check that the En slide is still ok. BUT it show FR in the Heading – and no more EN as I previously entered when I build the EN slide :((((((
    How can this be?

    Best Regards,
    Yann.

Could you uncheck the “Custom fields” in the Synchronization option?
    Now, does it work?

    Thread Starter Yann.Desnoues

    (@yanndesnoues)

    Hello Chrysti,

Yes it works. Thank you so much!
Honestly this part about synchronization was not crystal clear to me. And how could I know that i had to to untick ‘Custom fields’ ?

I wish you a very very good day.

    Best Regards,
    Yann.

I’m glad that you have solved your issue.
The Synchronizations are unchecked by default.
After checking the “Custom fields” synchronization, a modification in your custom fields in a translated content will be copied in all translations.
