• I am a network guy solicited to do a school’s webpage. Not being a web guy I have fought my way through the basics of CSS, PHP etc and I have used WP (with ecto) to manage content all over the site. I am looking to make my life easier and would like to automate the school calendar using WP. The way I have it envisioned, on the front page the calendar from a separate install would be visible. Every calendar entry would have its own entry with the timestamp of the post being the time of the event. That is, if an assembly is at 9:00, Feb 2, make a post titled Assembly, timestamped at 9 am, 2/2, with the body being a description. If someone clicked on the date 2/2 they would see the assembly announced.

To make this work, WordPress would have to display future posts. Is it possible to do this in WP? Am I making this too difficult for myself?
