    Dear,

After checking the github of WP Rocket, I saw that they will automatically enable “Optimize Google Fonts” by default in the plugin and there won’t be any setting to disable it (unless with additional helper plugin).

For those who already had this setting disabled, it will still be disabled. But assume that I have to remove WP Rocket and re-install it, the setting will be enabled then by default and will cause conflict with OMGF.

Are you aware of this? What can you do about this to prevent that WP Rocket’s default settings won’t cause problems with you, without necessarily adding an additional helper plugin?

    Thanks

    Hey!

Thanks for notifying me of this issue. I’ll research it, and if necessary, add a WP Rocket compatibility mode or something like that.

    Thanks!

    Hi again,

I just tested OMGF with the latest version of WP Rocket (and minify Google Fonts enabled) and I couldn’t detect any issues.

OMGF still detects the fonts and removes any external requests!

Are you running into any issues?

If you update while the feature “optimize googme fonts” was disabled, it will keep being disabled and hidden after the update to 3.7

If you had it enabled, it will be enabled and hidden.

If you delete and make new install, it will be enabled and hidden.

Can you check with new install?
    Thanks

    Hi!

Yes, that’s exactly what I did. WP Rocket properly enqueues the stylesheet (apparently) for OMGF to detect it.

So, I couldn’t find any issue. If you’re using a certain theme or plugin and OMGF isn’t able to detect the fonts, when Optimize Google Fonts is enabled, please let me know and I’ll test again.

I don’t face any issue yet, but as long as you tested it I’m fine then ??
