• I am trying to add events for 2025 into “My Calendar”. It is not showing anything beyond 2024. I cannot even enter a date beyond 2024 in the date field. Can someone please help me.

You can’t create events that are later than 2024? Can you provide more detail about that?

On the front-end, the date fields are constrained to only show periods of time that there are events for; but the back-end doesn’t have any constraints of that sort.

Thank you very much for your reply, Joe
I am on version version 3.5.17, which I believe is the latest.

When I go to add an event and change the date by clicking on the calendar icon to anything in 2025, it just reverts to the day & month in 2024. If I just change the text date from 2024 to 2025. it seems to work, but after saving the event it reverts to 2024 when viewed in the events listing.

There seems to be no way for me to add an event for 2025.

    Thanks for your help

will upgrading to Pro fix this? Happy to do so!

    (@joedolson)

No, I don’t think there’s any reason that updating to Pro would fix that; I’m not sure what’s causing it. Would you be able to share a video of your process attempting to add an event in 2025? Maybe I’d be able to see something in the video if you did. Right now, I can’t reproduce this issue – but I might be overlooking something simple.

    thanks
    how do i record this?
sorry, i am not a tech expert.

Is there any chance this is a plug-in conflict?

    Plugin Author Joe Dolson

    (@joedolson)

It is possible there could be a plugin conflict, although it would be pretty obscure. You can try disabling all other plugins and trying this again – if the problem goes away, then it is a plugin conflict.

There are a lot of methods of recording a screen share; one option is to start a Zoom meeting by yourself, do a screen share, and record that. Then you’d need to upload it somewhere that you could link to it, so I could view it.

I change the date to 2025. It does not matter if i do this here or by clicking on the calendar icon.

then i click on publish. and the date is now:

    thanks again

I have deactivated all plugins bar MyCalendar

If i try and change the date to 2025, 26, or whatever using the calendar icon, month and date will change, but not the year, If I manually change the year in the text field, it looks Ok until I hit publish. Then it reverts to 2024.

I have now reactivated the other plugins.

    thanks for your help

I’m kind of assuming that there were supposed to be some images in some of those earlier posts that would have given a bit more context.

As of yet, I don’t really know much about what you’re doing. Perhaps it’s a browser issue? What browser and operating system are you using?

    Thank you, Joe
I tried all you asked then uninstalled and reinstalled My Calendar.
I then gave up, uninstalled it again and installed a different plugin, which works perfectly.
I had planned on installing your pro version, as I very much liked the features.
    Thanks again for your help

I’m having the same issue. My calendar is not displaying any dates beyond 2024. 2025 simply doesn’t show up in the calendar navigation. It lets me add an event for 2025 but it doesn’t appear on the calendar. It does show up on the admin event list as invalid. I’ve tried to attach screenshots below but I’m not sure if they are showing up correctly. The site is public so you can see for yourself at https://www.phoenixcommunitychurch.org/calendar/. I’m using Safari on a Mac Mini M1 system running Sequoia 15.01. I tested as an end-user with Firefox and get the same lack of access to anything beyond 2025.

    Here are the screen shots:

This really seems to be a WordPress / MyCalendar issue. It’s as if MyCalendar thinks the world is going to end on December 31, 2024 and refuses to accept any date beyond that. I can create events with 2025 dates but it marks them as invalid.

Ok, never mind. Dumb user error on my part. Once I correctly defined my 2025 event then that year showed up. I’m not sure why you hide blank calendars, though. It seems like I should be able to see 2025 even if there are no events.
