Future of this plugin? Still maintained?

Hello, I’ve been using this plugin for years but am wondering if there are plans to maintain it in the future or if it’s dead in the water and I should find something else for my needs. It seems to work well however the lack of updates make me concerned it could be a security exploit waiting to happen. Thoughts?
