For some reason, I thought that field was just for when you’d already published something and wanted to change the time.

Why not make it for 10 minutes from now ?

Do you see the future-dated post in your list of posts in your Admin interface? If so, what is the date assigned to that post?

If you see it in Admin, but not on the public site, it likely worked.

Which plugin do you use to notify people of new posts?

The quick fix is to de-activate the notification plugin when future-dating a post, compose and publish the post, then re-activate the plugin.

It’s on my task list to find a way to get my subscribe2 plugin to work well with my WP-Cron plugin, to support notification of future-dated posts only when they “go live”…
