Maybe if it’s not too difficult to code, consider also to have bbPress support for this plugin.
Right now on bbPress forums you have lots of users who manually add tags to topics because they think it’s SEO. Auto. tagging would-/could remove the manually adding tag function but still have the ability the navigate and list topics on your forum.
bbPress already uses the WP Tags taxonomy for the topics, so maybe there is some functionally there.
