    Hi,

    Thank you for this great plugin, but i need help with this new, 3.x version.

    I am no expert, but how to lower Total Page Requests in FVM 3.x to the same level with older version of FVM 2.x?

    Gtmetrix FVM 3.0.3
    Total Page Size – 690kb
    Total Page Requests – 35

    Gtmetrix FVM 2.8.9
    Total Page Size – 684KB
    Total Page Requests – 20

    2.8.9 css and js options
    Inline CSS both in the header and footer
    Enable defer of all JS files for PSI only

    Please add the options or how to enable javascript with newer 3.x? As simple as possible, i would like continue to use it.

    You will need to look at the HELP tab and follow the instructions for the default recommended settings. Mostly is copy paste.

    Likely, your JS files are not being optimized.
    Now the process is manual, for compatibility reasons.

    The Enable defer of all JS files for PSI only has been removed, as it uses document.write and that is deprecated by google. It can also be considered cloaking, so I had to remove it. However, in version 3 you can delay third party scripts which will improve the web vitals in the long run.

    Hi Raul,

    Please add automatic js option back, i read the help in fvm 3.04 and i still have not done it, everyone is not so advanced in computers, i can give wordpress logins to you, if needed. It is good plugin and i thank you.

    Total Page Requests still high, at the moment FMV 3.07 – 34 request vs 2.89 – 20 request. What i need to do with js? I did copy from help examples over and page size went up from 690kb to over 800kb (Gtmetrix).

    Can you post a report from gtmetrix, before and after?
    I need to look at the waterfall to help you.

    Also be advised, you need to repeat each test at least twice.
    The tests fluctuate, and the first one may be slow while it’s generating the cache or preloading the cdn (if in use).

    Also, make sure to see if those are not third party scripts.
    FVM 2 was hiding the scripts with document.write, which is deprecated by pagespeed.
    With FVM 3 the effect is the same if you delay your scripts properly.

    Now it seems ok, first time it was not like that.

    Total Page Size – 682KB
    Total Page Requests – 20

    Structure 100%
    CLS 0.64 (red, but it was like that before).
