    Hi guys,

Just putting a few feelers out here.

Just been on Google Analytics to check my stats, and going through my ‘exit pages’, there’s a link to each exit page that opens up in a pop-up window, which can then be closed when any examinations are finished.

    So to the ‘feelers’:

    1) I take it that Alligator Popup could achieve this effect?

    2) Is it a good idea to have this effect on a website, or is it bad for SEO?

Any further info would be most welcome!

The plugin opens a webpage in a new window – if you’re not sure of what that looks like, you can install it and try it out – its free!

I don’t know the effect you have described but if it opens a page in a new window then yes the plugin does do this. If however it does something different then the answer i probably no.

The effect is that as you described, ie a page opens in a new window, rather than a new tab, and is something I’ve been looking into applying to my website for ages.

However is this effect good, or bad, or indifferent for SEO?

On further inspection and following a quick download, I found this plugin far too fiddly to work with except for straight text links.

Nice effect, but impossible to work with.
