GA4 installed twice?

    Hi,

    I think I may have GA4 set up twice and am worried its recording data twice.

    I should have 2 separate GA4 properties – one for website data and one for web stories.

    The one for web stories isn’t connecting (another problem I think!) as it says ” no data received from website yet”. I set this up via Sitekit and the code snippets plugin.

    When I check on Google Tag Assistant. It shows 2 old UA tags and two GA4 tags. One of these is my main reporting ID that I use but the other one doesn’t match the web stories G- ID that I was trying to set up and I don’t know what it is.

    Hello @lozzag123 thanks for getting in touch. When checking myself with the Google tag assistant I can only see 2 tags found (1 UA & 1 GA4). The GA4 tag I can see is ?G-*******0GE. Is this the property you are expecting to place?

    With regards to using a separate property for website data and Web Stories, there was a?feature request submitted for this on the Web Stories GitHub repository, however, it was closed as not planned. While you may wish to submit such a feature request using the Web Stories support forums given that Web Stories?looks for existing Analytics on a users site, we did some checks on this previously, with the following options available to you:
