    Hi All,

    Thanks for creating this topic.

Below are the points related to the raised issues:

    1) The conversion data do not get tracked(for both – Universal Analytics and GA4) when there is one of the following well-known cases:

1.1) The thankyou page URL is not as per the standard WooCommerce implementation. The standard thankyou page URL is like – https://Domain_Name/checkout/order-received/99999/?key=wc_order_XxXXxxXXXxXxx

1.2) There are javascript or jquery errors in the console of the thankyou page. Such errors block conversion tracking.

1.3) JavaScript minification is done using a cache plugin.

1.4) Thankyou page does not get loaded completely, means there is no closing </html> tag.

1.5) When there are multiple GA tracking plugins/snippets. In such a case there could be conflicts due to which tracking gets affected sometimes.

Please check for the issue at the thankyou page and accordingly rectify it so that conversion tracking works fine.
And please note that the list of cases is not limited to the above ones.

Also, @kizadesign we had made a test shopping journey in your store but couldn’t make a test order due to payment restrictions. And we cannot ask for the detail required to place a test order due to forum policies.

    2) As per our learning, the data reflection in GA4 takes 4 hours more time compared to the old GA.

So in case, the comparison between the GA and GA4 is made after a few minutes of an order placed then there could be chances that the order data will not be visible in GA4.

Here, please confirm whether the orders which were placed a day before reflected in GA and/or GA4?

We hope the above points help.

    Thanks & Regards,
    Tatvic Analytics.

    Hi,

Just to correct the 2nd point:

    2) We have observed that the data in old GA gets reflected faster than what it takes to reflect in GA4. So if you are checking the transaction placed in real-time in old GA(UA-) as well as in GA4 then there is a possibility that order data will be reflected in old GA but not in GA4 or it might get reflected after a few seconds.

Here, we suggest you please do the comparison in the old GA & GA4 data which were captured in the last 24 hours and post us in case there is an issue, we will help you out in the best possible manner.

    Thanks & Regards,
    Tatvic Analytics.

    Thank you for your reply!
I’ll use this space to document my troubleshooting.

1.1: Our site does use the standard thank you page URL. So, no issue there.

1.2: Our console is displaying the following errors:
main.d71a97dd.js:1 Pinterest Tag Error: ‘load’ command was called multiple times. Previously for tag id ‘2613032240057’, now for tag id ‘2613032240057’.
    h.load @ main.d71a97dd.js:1
automount.min.js:1 TypeError: Cannot set property ‘innerHTML’ of null
    at t.a.mount (automount.min.js:1)

There are also warnings around MetaMask and DevTools failing to load source map. None of these look directly tied to GA.

1.3: We do leverage WP Rocket. We do NOT have “Minify Javascript” enabled. However, we DO have “Load Javascript deferred” and “Safe mode for jQuery” enabled.

1.4: I can confirm a closing HTML tag in my source code.

1.5: We removed our manually placed Universal Analytics code when we added the EE plugin. We also deactivated our previous GA plugin, which was WooCommerce Google Analytics Pro by Skyverge. However, we have not removed it completely. I will try this now and let you know if that worked when the next sale comes in.

    Hi there!

I wanted to give an update; multiple sales have come in, but my GA4 is still displaying $0.00 revenue.
