GA4 without consent request

Hi, on my site I have configured GA4 through your application.
Everything worked fine as long as consent was required for the statistics.
Now the consultant has authorized me to consider GA4 cookies as functional for which I have flagged “no” for the consent request for the statistics in your wizard.
The problem is that now the tracking is not perfect as before.
The analytics cookies are installed only at the change of page if I do not perform some action on the banner. Furthermore, some pages never seem to be traced, particularly the home page, even returning to the same after visiting another page.
Furthermore, I would expect that with the option not to ask for consent for analytics the user will be tracked even without making choices on the banner, but it seems that this is not the case, the coocke are installed but looking at the statistics it looks like as if nothing happens.
Am I doing something wrong in your opinion?
