GADWP conflict with Avada Theme

Hi,

Since this theme isn’t free would help a lot if you can post some screenshots with the issue. I don’t quite understand which editable text elements are you referring to.

Also if you could check if there are any JavaScript errors and post them would be helpful.

I’m not sure how to attach an image here without uploading it to a site. However, I’m not sure what showing you a screenshot would do, as it doesn’t show an error, as when you click on the edit button, the page does nothing.

Basically, in Avada you have a container, then you have columns and within that you have elements (or blocks in WordPress lingo). The image, checkbox etc elements all work but the text one does not with the Google analytics plugin activated.

I’m also not sure how to know if there are any javascript errors. This issue is on all of my Avada sites, and you can’t see anything, it’s just an issue for me editing textboxes.

Sorry, I know this isn’t much help. One of the sites I’m experiencing this is https://kawarthacoop.ca. If I deactivate the Analytics plugin, then I can edit the text boxes as usual.

On the page you’re having the issue, try to follow https://developer.www.ads-software.com/advanced-administration/debug/debug-javascript/. Skip step 1 and step 2, and follow step 3. If you manage to identify the error, post it following the instructions from step 4.

The link on step 4 (troubleshooting forum) doesn’t work. However, I will post the error to the theme, but isn’t this where I give you the javascript for the theme?
It’s on all browsers.

@germars this is OT, but were you able to get the conflict resolved with Avada and Give P2P from a few months ago? I’m having the same issue :S

Yes we did. Was this where your headers didn’t show up on any of their pages? It was a weird solution and I have to say, the fellow who helped was like a dog with a bone and really looked into it. He found that if you created a post, it solved the problem. So I created a post (because we didn’t have any) and just put something like “oops, you are on the wrong page, click here for the home page”, just in case someone found it in the search engine. Because, it has to be a live post, no a draft or a hidden one. Strange, out there solution, right? Let me know if that helps you. I would have thought they would have fixed that by now, but at least this helps.

@germars Oh my goodness, I’m so glad I asked! That fixed it!! I tried so many things, and that NEVER would’ve occurred to me lol. So random! Thanks so much!!

You are most welcome, that is a strange solution, isn’t it? Believe me, this was the third plugin I had tried and when this happened I was ready to cry. They are great for tech support though and our walkathon went really well.
