I haven’t been able to figure out what’s causing a particular gallery to display incorrectly. Basically, the first 6 images do and the rest of the images just line up down the page without being in the gallery at all. Some CSS issues?

The issue is duplicated across the site, too.

Scroll to the second gallery on the page, Night of Love. I replaced the first Simply gallery, How to Die Young in Manila, with a GT3 gallery, so it’s not the same plugin. As you can see, it renders fine.

I’d like to keep using Simply as it’s by far the most powerful gallery plugin I’ve used. and have considered upgrading

This is because some plugin or your theme renders images from the noscript tag, which in turn are intended for SEO, for AMP mode (in cases where JavaScript is prohibited). In short, something on your site is done incorrectly.

I enabled the 2022 theme. I disabled all plugins except simply and the problem disappeared.

The culprit ended up being Jetpack with lazy-loading enabled.

It didn’t matter if Simply gallery’s lazy-loading feature was enabled or not.

I’m not sure calling this thread solved prematurely is quite right since Jetpack is not exactly an uncommon plugin and none of the other 3 gallery plugins I’ve tried have this problem. But I guess that’s up to you.

you correctly found the reason, but I don’t know and don’t understand why the Jetpack displays in normal mode (with JavaScript active) a gallery intended for the AMP mode. I used to use a hack to protect against Jetpack, but this hack made it invalid HTML. In short, I don’t know why the Jetpack displays elements from the “noscript” tag unnecessarily

The site is hosted on EasyWP which employs a server-side cache. Any chance that it could be involved?

I’m just glad I can use your gallery plugin again. It’s the best option and it would have been a bitch to change them all sitewide.

caching on the server does not affect this situation in any way. This is the feature of Jetpack when working with images – it’s like an elephant in a china shop. The main task of the Jetpack is to sell your CDN

try the new version, I tried to fix conflict with jetpack (lazy loading). Maybe this will work
