Galleries displaying differently

I used the default galleries tool to create galleries for pages. But they seem to be linking differently. Anyone got an idea why?

Gallery 1 correctly shows the image page when you click one of the images.

Gallery 2 links to an attachment page that doesn’t seem to show the media at all.

Could someone kindly let me know what setting may have changed between Gallery 1 and Gallery 2 to create this difference? From my knowledge I didn’t select any setting at all, just grabbed the pictures and made them a gallery.
