Galleries running really slow!!

After loading up the Galleria Template by Progression Studios I noticed that the galleries were taking forever to load, after spending all day emailing the theme developer and hosting provider it turns out that the hosting company are blocking the connections from the server, back to the the server over port 80 so I have to use the local file name instead(hope this all makes sence) The theme developer just wants to give me my money back but the theme is just what I have been after for a long time and I have put a lot of hours in to this theme getting it looking how I want. Can anyone help me recode the script file so that the images use the local file names.
