Galleries with 4.1

  • Hi all,

    Just updated to the latest WP4.1 running the Magazine theme. Galleries no longer work – photos open individually instead of with the scrollable gallery.

    Any ideas?

  • Have you tried changing to Twenty Fifteen? Did you check if your plugin/s have been updated to be compatible with WP 4.1?

    By default, photos open individually, so you had to be using a theme or plugin to customize that.

    Sorry, my apologies. I think there had to be some or the other plugin that “vanished” the second we updated to 4.1. However, this seems to be working for a couple of older posts. I have updated all of the plugins, and can’t even seem to locate the plugin that toggles what I’m trying to do.

    For instance, here’s an example. If you go to the bottom of this post where there’s a thumbnail gallery for the Honda CR-V, that’s the gallery setting I’m looking for:

    But any other post, like this one, does this where the “gallery” should be:
    https://doubleclutch.ca/17107/2015-audi-s3-technik/

    Any ideas? I’m legitimately stumped here. There are over 1000 posts on the site that have the same setup, that suddenly stopped working. I’m hoping for a solution that doesn’t involve our staff having to manually go through all old posts.
