Gallery > Alt & Title Text / Description Text Truncated

  • I am noticing the Gallery > Alt & Title Text / Description getting Truncated at the end.

    On some, I can place longer text but on a few others, they are getting cut off. When I login to the Manage Galleries and view the actual Alt & Title Text / Description, some the text is being truncated and missing at the end. The text is about 95 words or 592 characters .

    Can you tell me what may be causing this. Version is 2.1.23.

    Cais, thanks for your help.

    Apparently, @sc88pro is having the same issue on WP 4.7 with the latest NextGEN version.
    I will try to create a test site.

    Is there any way you can also look into what may be causing only the single row to show per page?

    NOTE: I have downgraded to WP 4.6.1 and the image rows are showing 50 as default.

    @phillliplee – Please send us a Bug Report (https://imagely.com/report-bug/ … please reference this topic) so we can get a better look under the page at your site. This may be the better way to proceed at this point. Feel free to use your test site in your report provided the issues persist there.

    sc88pro, I have reverted the WP version to 4.6.1. for now. I have an older version of NextGen plugin.

    Hi Phillip. I’m also using older vertions of wordpress and Nextgen to stop the truncation issue on text and links.

    I was wondering if the Nextgen shysters are currently working with you to resolve the issue?

    Hi sc88pro, sorry to hear that you are also frustrated with this issue no being resolved.

    No they are not. They asked me to create a copy on a test site but did not get to it yet.

    Still the exact same problem with latest Nextgen, truncating image text with html. Well over a year now and still not fixed, what a joke.

    Just to let you know that the latest version of Nextgen (2.2.2) and wordpress 4.7.3 seems to have fixed the truncating text/html issue. I updated the plugins on my test site and replaced the truncated text/html with original and it no longer gets cutt off.

    sc88pro, I updated the Nexgen plugin to 2.2.3 and it seems to have fixed the truncating issue! Again, I appreciate the heads up. Best regards.
