gallery and header adjustments

    Hello,
    I am a complete newcomer to wordpress and CSS, so please bear with me ?? My website is a work in progress and there are three main things I would to change that are elusive to me:

    1. the grey box around galleries…I have tried the previous listed fixes but they don’t work…before that I had tried to change some things in the original CSS for the theme, don’t know if that has affected anything. The grey box can be seen on the homepage, design gallery, and illustration gallery so far.

    2. I would like to remove the header that is on each page and move galleries/content up so it is more closely under the menu bar, so for example when you click on design, I would like to remove the “design” header that appears under the menu bar, and above the gallery.

    3. I would like to take the space out above the menu bar, where the title (which I have chosen to not show) would go.

    Just to update I have resolved the Header and Menu spacing issues above, but still haven’t been able to change the grey gallery background to white when using gallery (the design page and illustration page in the dropdown menu) Thanks!

    Glad you managed to sort out items 2 & 3.

    Is that the page you mean? I’m not seeing a grey box around the galleries, so maybe you got this worked out? Let me know if you still need any help.

    Hi Kathryn,
    Again, thanks for your reply–as mentioned in my other topic reply I was able to cobble together some CSS to resolve these issues.
