I’m running the plugin with a database containing 2.000+ galleries. I’ve been using the plugin for years, but somehow now is taking a lot of time to attach a gallery to a post.

When I go to “netxgen basic slideshow”-> “what would you like to display”and then I go to the field “Galleries” it takes a very long time to let me type some letters and to populate the list of galleries available. Once it finishes “doing this internal search” everything seems to be normal.

Same thing happens when I go through “click to edit” to modify some already attached galley from any post.

    Plugin version: 2.2.10

    Thank you in advance.

@sottovoce – Do you recall what has changed since you noticed this slowdown?

    Thanks!

Cais, some days ago I updated the plugin to latest version (I was using V2.2.3), and a couple of weeks ago we also moved the site to https.

    Thanks

@sottovoce – I would not suspect anything updating from 2.2.3 to the current 2.2.10 release; and, in most cases changing the site’s protocol should not create any slowdowns although that is outside the scope of our support if it is the case (although still not likely).

You might look at using the Reset Option (if you haven’t since changing protocols) just in case something is causing an issue under the page, it should update all path/routing details to recognize the new protocol and possibly sort out anything related to that.

    Thanks!

No luck reseting options. Probably a fresh install could do the trick? I’ve been updating this plugin over and over for years now. Is there any documentation on how to uninstall preserving gallery database? Thank you.

@sottovoce – The database values are retained by default. You should be able to deactivate, delete, then re-install and re-activate without issue (much like manually updating the plugin would be).

    Thanks!
