Gallery category and thumbnail

To use the gallery category goto your Admin Panel > Settings and set a slug for the gallery categories. Hit save and go to your Admin Panel > Settings and ensure permalinks are set. (you will also need to visit this page if you change the slugs.)

You should then be able to see galleries in that category by visiting yousite.com/galleryslug/category where galleryslug is what you set as the slug for the gallery categories and category is the category slug.

You can ‘star’ an image, but this won’t be used as the cover image unless your theme supports it, so the cover will need to be the first image in the set.
