GAllery for lots of pictures

I am new to wordpress and have a test site in progress at https://www.numbrex.com
The finished site will be for a road race that will have lots of pictures. Can you recommend a (free?) plugin that is suitable for lots/hundreds of pictures? Also, i would require seperate gallerys to show on different pages for different year’s race. Thank you in advance.
