Gallery images are being resized?

Hiya,

When I try to make a gallery. The images seems to be resized larger than what they actually are. So not only are they massive (especially the first image in tiled type) but they are of poor quality because they are stretched.

This applies to all gallery types except Thumbnail grid. Further more changing the size (thumbnail, medium, large, full size) seems to have no effect at all.

Is there a way the images in a gallery can be forced to not display images above there maximum dimensions?
