Images are plenty large when brought into the media, as soon as I put them in the gallery they get fuzzy. I cannot seem to solve this issue. I have tried deleting and reloading the media and the gallery and it still happens

    Hi there,

I see that your site’s connection to WordPress.com is not working and this might be the issue as you’re probably using Jetpack’s image CDN to serve your images.

Can you please reconnect Jetpack by following these instructions?

I just reconnected and the images are still fuzzy. Do I need to delete and redo?

Sorry, total newbie here trying to figure this out

Taking a look at your gallery now, the blur is unavoidable because the blurry images are actually smaller than the space they’re displayed in your gallery.

When an image is stretched to be larger than it is, it gets blurry. That’s just how digital images work, not a limitation of Jetpack or WordPress.

For example, one of the blurry images is https://hayburnersequine.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/28536025_10208445409053123_1590687072_n.jpg and as you can see there it’s smaller than the square that your theme forces it to load into, hence the blur.

The solution to this problem would be to either upload larger original images, or switch to a theme that doesn’t force such large thumbnails in the gallery.

I just reloaded all the images and something was shrinking them, many are larger images and it appears its just the thumbnails that look really bad (even on the larger images)

If that’s happening, then you’ll need to figure out what’s resizing the images after they upload.

Here’s another original that’s smaller than what your theme’s gallery style is stretching it to: https://hayburnersequine.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/20160401-180706_1.jpg

That’s the problem here, the blurry images are all originals that are smaller than what the theme’s gallery style is stretching them to.
