    After selecting Basic Slideshow and then Sources>Random Images with number to display set to the number in the gallery – 240 – the slideshow displays in image sort order. If I select Sources>Galleries and then select the desired gallery – there is no option to select “random”. Wht is the correct procedure to display an entire gallery in random order?

    Thanks

    @ko4gs – To display a single gallery in random order you will most likely be best served by using a shortcode in this particular case.

    Give the following a try:
    [ngg_images source=random_images container_ids=1 display_type=photocrati-nextgen_basic_slideshow images_per_page=1000 order_by='rand()']

    container_ids is referencing the specific gallery (when random is the source) and the images_per_page is a stop-gap measure, you could set it lower or remove it all together.

    Also to note, some web hosting services will not allow the use of the rand() function by default so it may not work no matter the case.

    Thanks!
