    Jetpack Mechanic ??

The galleries themselves are not controlled by Jetpack, but by your theme. Do you experience issues with Carousel view, or with the thumbnail grid on the page?

In the desktop site? No, no issues. My theme had previously not worked with Carousel but a February update fixed that.

The desktop version works great with Carousel. I was hoping to not have to use NextGen gallery and this is the one stumbling block. I’d like for gallery images to be full screen on mobile devices, like that Photoswipe plugin does for NextGen.

    Thanks Jeremy.

The images seem to be full screen when I open the Carousel view:

The white space can’t be avoided here, unless the image is in a portrait mode.

Could you post screenshots of how it looks on your end?

    Hi Jeremy,
It’s been a few weeks since I have looked at this, and a few Jetpack releases, but this is still an issue. I’ve seen a bunch of posts referring to the same thing.
Hopefully this can be fixed soon as it really does look bad on an iPhone when in landscape – which is how most people would choose to view these images.

Please see this post here for screenshots. Also, look at the “photos” page on that site to see the images I used for the example.

Thanks for the additional details. I see what’s wrong when switching from landscape to portrait. I’ve asked our developers to have another look at it.

I will post again here as soon as we can address the issue.
