Gallery in Colibri displaying vertically

  • I have a WP colibri themed website, Version 1.0.211

    however now when i add a gallery it displays perfectly in the editor but not when published. This is the same on phone and desk top. Ive only changed to the theme a couple of months or so ago and everything was working beautifully

    I have the smush plug in version Version 3.11.1. Not sure of its exact purpose but it was recommended to optimize photos.

    I am not very techy so struggle with this but its so frustrating that I cant do what i want when early posts worked perfectly. eg
