Gallery layout stopped working

Hi cipheralex,

You need to upload the images you want to display in the gallery within the post you want the gallery displayed. You can not, in other words, create a new gallery consisting of existing images in the media editor (and have it displayed a slideshow). It’s unfortunate, but it’s the best currently available solution.

Follow these steps:

1. Go to Admin > Posts > Add New.
2. Select the “Gallery” post format in the Post Attributes box.
3. Click “Add Media” and upload the images you wish to display in the gallery.
4. Close the Media window and publish/update the post.
5. The images you uploaded should now be displayed in the post gallery.

I made some posts with different pictures but doesn’t work. I think is not this the real problem.
Seems like that something stop to works, because some days ago this function was working perfectly.

I re-uploaded the images in the post and it worked. Thank you.

However, I want to point out that this way of creating the gallery seem more like a work around. This will become a problem if the same photos are used in different galleries. I am not sure if it will be a easy change, but could you please try to address this in your next update?

I agree with cipheralex — the slider gallery is a workaround. Upvote for fixing that in a future update. It’s very elegant for the viewer but is a nightmare for the developer.
