gallery linkages

  • Hi – I’m hoping this might be something quite simple but I’ve had a look and it’s beyond my limited abilities so far.

    Basically, some of the new species images I’ve been adding to my fish galleries recently haven’t been linking to an attachment page in the usual way. There isn’t even an option to do that when I select the image in question.

    As an example, see the L. carmabi image in the Liopropoma section in the link given (about half way down the page). With all the other images, I can set them so I click on them and they take me to a final page for that species, but with L. carmabi (and other recent images I’ve added) it won’t allow me to set that. When I look in the gallery view, all the other images appear to have a “link to” option in the block editor, but any new images I add do not.

    The site is completely up to date etc…

    I think the link field was moved sometime earlier. Each image in a gallery is its own image block. Make the image block the active block. In the tool bar for the block is a chain link icon. Click that and enter your desired URL in the field that appears.
