[gallery link="file"] shows up in the main page

    I just created a gallery but for some reason “[gallery link="file"]” shows up on the main page instead of the images. I have older galleries which still display the images, so I can’t understand what the problem is.

    Does your main page template (presumably index.php) use the_content() or the_excerpt()?

    this is the code from the main index template. i’m using Thematic 0.9.7.7 by Ian Stewart & Chris Go?mann

    it’s not a problem with the theme. it was a conflicting plugin. i disabled all my plugins and the problem went away. thank you for your time.

    it’s specifically the Excerpt Editor plugin.
