    Hi,

    YouTube/Google reduced the amount of quota sites have for their API. The not live feature for channel embeds, which you’re referring to, was quite API heavy in order to look up whether a live stream was available on a page refresh. Embedding a live stream using a direct link, however, isn’t as much for the not live feature. Rather than turning of the feature totally, we still support it for direct link embedding. We are hoping to come up with some magic to avoid the API quota issue and bring it back to channel embedding.
