gallery "load more"

  • i have a gallery that needs to be created with many many pictures, i was thinking about if, like i can do goint to “setting” with the the post, i can put the “load more” botton between the pictures of the gallery

  • I think what you are asking about is something called an Ajax load more type gallery.

    There is a plugin that can help create these…..

    thanks but i tried and i was able just to put the button load more regarding post or pages but not about the gallery i need,

    Can you show us url of your site, and another site of what you want to achieve please?

    It seems to me you want to have same result of masonry jquery plugin but not sure.

    Something like that with infinite scrolling down, as long as there are posts to show:

    for example, in this post i need to let show 6 pictures then load more and other 6 and then go on like that.

    Thanks, so it’s as I thought, you want to have infinite scrolling in home page (eg show 6 or 10 posts then display a button “show more” etc until there are no posts lefts).

    You just need to look at WordPress templates with jquery masonry plugin (or put it on this theme, if you have some knowledge in Jquery and PHP).

    It may not look great like that but with a bunch of posts with nice photos, some customziation, it looks great and is perfect on smarthpone too.

    in the home page the work is fine and i can do what you said and what i want, the trouble is coming from the post,
    i mean, can i do the same in a post using a gallery?

    Yeah, 100% sure on a post level or category level, then search for a plugin to do the same stuff, masonry in free plugin database on www.ads-software.com, there are plenty ??

    Use search terms like “masonry gallery” or so for plugins. Most will use featured image as main image to show in a grid list of posts, so make sure you have cool featured images for each post (and well sized to a square size).
