I’ve been using this plugin for a few months, and it worked great until a couple of days ago. After I updated WordPress and some plugins a couple of days ago, the gallery disappeared, and was replaced by just the shortcode.

I tried changing the Autoptimize settings as recommended on your website, played around with the image and block size settings, tried adding a different gallery that also didn’t show up, and tried turning off and on various plugins. I’m reluctant to try the Health Check plugin I’ve seen you recommend, as a lot of people have reported that it broke their sites.

My site is pretty simple, and I only have 9 plugins: Autoptomize, Generate Blocks, Monster Insights, Layout Grid, TinyPNG, W3 Total Cache, WP-DB Manager, Yoast SEO, and Modula.

Here is a screenshot of my current general settings: https://imgur.com/a/7FUlo65

  • Hi @foxfacedesign,

Thank you for reaching out to us!
That does not seem to be the correct shortcode used for galleries.
It should be something like this: [modula id=”364371″]
I recommend replacing that shortcode you have with the correct one and it should work again. Please let me know how it goes!

If it still does not work, I recommend using Health Check to disable all other plugins and use a default WP theme as it might be an incompatibility. If you’re concerned about using the plugin, it’s a good idea to create a backup of your site before proceeding with it.

    All the best,
    Mihaela

    Hi MIha,

I appreciate you getting back to me. Although, unless my version of the plugin is broken, I don’t think the shortcode is incorrect. [modula id=”4966″] is the shortcode generated by the plugin and another gallery I made (which I’m not currently using) only has 4 numbers as well (https://imgur.com/a/uagznKD). I also tried duplicating the gallery and creating a new one, and the generated shortcode was 4 numbers both times.

If you have any other suggestions, I would really appreciate it.

    Thanks,
    Rexx

    Hi @foxfacedesign,

Can you please let us know if you tried doing the troubleshooting with the Health Check plugin? I recommend to create a backup of your site before doing so.

    Warmly,

    Beatrice.

Sorry, I was out of town, and couldn’t test anything on my site. Hopefully you will still respond to this.

I did try the Health Check plugin, which shows the site health is good. In Troubleshooting Mode, I activated the theme I was using before when the gallery was working, then enabled Modula with no other plugins active. I still get the same shortcode popping up ([modula id=4966 align=]) and no gallery.
