I am a new manager for this website. It is hosted by IONOS.

Your plugin works really well and was easy to set up. I set it up about 2 weeks ago and in that time it has twice lost the link to Google Drive. When I load the page the gallery is not there and the flashing “loading” symbol is not there.

I checked in the Google Drive Gallery basic options and the root directory tree is missing.

I revoked permissions and reapplied permissions. This has fixed the problem on both occasions.

Is there a way I can stop this happening?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,
that is really strange, I have never heard of such an issue…

Could it be caused by some other plugin? Some security or backup one?

The link you provided works at the moment, so there’s not really anything to see. Let me know if it breaks again, maybe I can get some insight then…

    Thanks for the report,
    Marek

Hi Marek – the gallery on the webpage is not loading again. As before the directory tree is not visible in the plugin Basic Options.

    Thanks for helping.

    Hi,
looks like you’ve really uncovered a bug with the plugin (which may be caused by some issue on Drive, but a bug nonetheless).

Could you please enable debugging on your web? See here (the line numbers have changed a bit since then, but it should be the same change). I’ll be able to see more then.

    Thanks!

Hi, I have a similar problem as @valgraham57 . Every week I have to revoke access and apply access again. I used a different account from the email i used when created the API and then, i used the same email, but the problem persists. When I revoke and concess access again, the problem is solved, but I want to keep it with no problems. For me, the problem is that the page change its appearance and is showed like the smarthpone design with the message: “critical problem”. Should I sent you link when I have this problem? Or do you have the solution?
    THANKS

It looks like you are suggesting I change a file on the server – I only have access via the WordPress interface. I can pass the request on (not sure how it will take to change it). Could you confirm that is what you would like me to do?

One other thing, it looks possible that the problem occurred around the time someone else was updating the Google Drive folder – I have shared it with 2 other people who upload photos occasionally.

Hi, yes, I am requesting a file change. If that’s a problem for you, maybe @adriancituli could do that?

Also, please look at https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/authorization-error-error-403-access-denied/#post-13998096 – this may also be the fix for you as it is related.

I’ve passed on the request to add the debug code which should get done today. The OAuth Consent Screen status is already set to “Testing”.

    Thanks.

Is the user also added on the page where you set it to “Testing?”

    Yes

    Hi,
I have the same problem as @adriancituli , i.e. I have to revoke access and apply access again about weekly. I enabled debugging in wp-config.php, and the error message is the following:

    Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class 'Sgdg\Vendor\GuzzleHttp\Psr7\Message' not found in /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Web/tarsashaz/wp-content/plugins/skaut-google-drive-gallery/bundled/vendor/guzzlehttp/psr7/src/functions.php:401 Stack trace: #0 /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Web/tarsashaz/wp-content/plugins/skaut-google-drive-gallery/bundled/vendor/guzzlehttp/guzzle/src/Exception/RequestException.php(127): Sgdg\Vendor\GuzzleHttp\Psr7\get_message_body_summary(Object(Sgdg\Vendor\GuzzleHttp\Psr7\Response)) #1 /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Web/tarsashaz/wp-content/plugins/skaut-google-drive-gallery/bundled/vendor/guzzlehttp/guzzle/src/Exception/RequestException.php(107): Sgdg\Vendor\GuzzleHttp\Exception\RequestException::getResponseBodySummary(Object(Sgdg\Vendor\GuzzleHttp\Psr7\Response)) #2 /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Web/tarsashaz/wp-content/plugins/skaut-google-drive-gallery/bundled/vendor/guzzlehttp/guzzle/src/Middleware.php(65): Sgdg\Vendor\GuzzleHttp\Exception\RequestException::create(Object(Sgdg\Vendor\GuzzleHttp\Psr7\Request), Object(Sgdg\Vendor\Gu in /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Web/tarsashaz/wp-content/plugins/skaut-google-drive-gallery/bundled/vendor/guzzlehttp/psr7/src/functions.php on line 401

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks!

https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/critical-error-in-this-web/ this is my problem. For me it has been happening for 2 months. I tried to verify the app with google, but it is very slow and hard to do. The problem, I think is that Google identifies this API as a dangerous app, so after a week, it is blocked. So we have to try to make Google see that we trust on our API, so they do not have to block it every week. I tried to adjust it on this link https://myaccount.google.com/security but did not work.

    Hi,
thanks @szabolc for the info – that’s exactly what I needed to know. The good news is that a fix for this particular issue is in the works in https://github.com/skaut/skaut-google-drive-gallery/pull/864. The bad news is, this fix will probably only reveal more information and won’t solve the issue outright.

@adriancituli Yes, I would generally expect verifying with Google to be a pain. I haven’t been able to reproduce this yet, but if that’s a policy Google has for new apps, there really wouldn’t be much for me to do :/.

    Thanks,
    Marek

    Hi,
    citing Google:

A Google Cloud Platform project with an OAuth consent screen configured for an external user type and a publishing status of “Testing” is issued a refresh token expiring in 7 days.

We need to update the docs, but this should help in the meantime ??
