  • Hi @dmcg88

WP 5.5 included a major update to jQuery which a lot of plugins use, so one of the plugins in your site could be causing a jQuery error which in turn is causing FooGallery to not load as it should.

I’ve just had a look at my Developer Tools console while reloading your gallery page and seen some javascript errors appear in the console. On further inspection of the console, I’ve noted that the plugin that might be causing the issue is one called WP Ajax Navigation. Do you have such a plugin installed?

Things you can try immediately: go to FooGallery Settings -> Advanced Tab and enable ”Custom Ready Event” which gets around jQuery ready errors caused by other plugins. You can also try disabling any cache plugin and that particular plugin if it is installed to see if this fixes the issue.

Try those out and let us know if it does help.

    Kind regards,
    Elvis.

Hello there Elvis. We are having the same issue. We will be updating our theme this year but would still appreciate a fix for this issue. We have tried the suggested fixes that are pinned to the top of this forum.

That fixed it for me, thanks!

One other thing, the foo box that opens when I click on the gallery is very slow. 3-4 seconds for each photo. Is this normal?

    Thanks

    Hi @dmcg88

The time it takes to open the image in the lightbox depends on the full size of your images. If you have really large images then it can take a while.

Check what dimension your images are and make sure they are no more than 1920 width. Also optimize the images using a tool like tinyPNG to reduce their size. There are many plugins to help with that.
