• Hi. I have created some galleries in a page.

    [gallery id="6591"]
    <h3 class=”portfolio”>Residence 1</h3>
    [gallery id="6618"]
    <h3 class=”portfolio”>Residence 2</h3>

when I switch to visual I can see the images in the gallery grid but when I preview the page nothing appears. I’m using WPLMS theme.

    Thanks!

  • When you use the id="" attribute of the shortcode, the gallery is supposed to display images attached to the post with that id. Were the images in the galleries on those posts/pages uploaded directly to that page, or were they already in the media library?

If you open the image in the media library it should tell you which post/page the image is ‘attached’ to. Unless an image is actually attached to https://minniepeters.staging.wpengine.com/residence-1/, it won’t appear in the gallery generated by [gallery id="6591"].

Another possibility is that your theme or a plugin is interfering. I notice that the galleries on the Residence pages aren’t using the normal markup from WordPress galleries. Perhaps one of the plugins, or your theme, has replaced the [gallery] shortcode with its own version that doesn’t support the id="" attribute. In which case you would need to contact the theme/plugin developer.

Hi thanks for you answer. Yes the images are attached to the relevant posats. I did some css adjustments to the lightbox myself. The galelry does actually appear in the visual on backend so I presume its load the images correctly. Just creates an empty div in the browser.
