    I have just tried to add a new gallery to a page but all that shows on the front end are the words
    NextGEN Gallery
    Edit
    Delete

    All my past galleries are still OK.
    Any help please?

    Hello @lawriem1,

    We are happy to help!
    We are experiencing some reports related to the Classic Editor (TinyMCE library)
    Are you currently using the Classic Editor or any plugin that embeds this library?

    Could you please try to create a new page, but using the Gutenberg Editor only and see if that works for you?
    If the answer is “Yes” you can try to:
    – Deactivate the Classic Editor and use Gutenberg to insert your galleries.
    – Use the Workaround below (in case you are using another plugin that embeds TinyMCE)

    Workaround
    1- Create the shortcode again using an empty page or blog post with the Gutenberg Editor (or have a shortcode you can use in hand). To get the shortcode in Gutenberg, you can use the option “Edit Html.”
    2- Deactivate NextGEN Gallery before editing the shortcode.
    3- Edit the shortcode using the text tab and Save.
    4- Reactivate NextGEN Gallery.

    We have shared this forum thread as a “Bug Report” to be reviewed by our developers.

    It seems that there is a conflict (surprisingly) with the Yoast SEO Plugin.
    If I deactivate Yoast I can insert a gallery in a new page without problem. I then reactivate Yoast.
    Works for me.

    Hi @lawriem1

    That worked for me too. Thanks! Had some angry customers.

    I am having the same problem. It is absolutely related to Yoast SEO. I have about 80 websites here. Most use NextGen Gallery and Yoast SEO. When I updated the Yoast SEO plug in, it broke all of the NextGen Galleries.

    We were able to trace the problem backward and are completely sure of this.

    If I disable Yoast SEO and then recode the Galleries, they work.

    I am hoping Yoast SEO can fix the problem or get with the NextGen Gallery developer to sort this out. It is on a number of forums now.

    Thanks for any help you can offer.

    I have the same problem. The code changes spontaneously, when Yoast SEO plugin is enabled
    [ngg src = "random_images" display = "basic_imagebrowser" maximum_entity_count = "20"]

    <div class="mceItem mceNonEditable nggPlaceholder"
             id="1597288807971"
             data-shortcode="ngg src=&quot;random_images&quot; display=&quot;basic_imagebrowser&quot; maximum_entity_count=&quot;20&quot;"
             data-mce-resize="false"
             data-mce-placeholder="1"
             contenteditable="false">
            <h3>Galeria NextGEN</h3>
            <div class="nggPlaceholderButton nggIgwEdit">
            	Edytuj
            </div>
            <div class="nggPlaceholderButton nggIgwRemove">
            	Usuń
            </div>
        </div>

    Hi everyone,

    We do apologize for the inconveniences created. Just wanted to follow up on this outstanding issue that our developers will try to fix as soon as possible. It is known for us that it occurs in most of the cases while using Classic Editor + Yoast SEO but the fix will be on us.

    This being said – the current suggested workaround is to either temporarily deactivate ( or rollback Yoast SEO plugin to the previous version of it ) or to use Gutenberg for inserting and editing gallery blocks.

    Any of the mentioned workarounds from above would require re-inserting the broken galleries ( just switching to Gutenberg or deactivating Yoast SEO will not help ).

    A fix for this issue is expected in the next NGG update.

    The NextGEN Gallery update was reportedly intended to fix the problem. Not corrected.
    The most popular gallery plugin for WordPress and one of the most popular plugins of all time with over 28 million downloads.

    It seems that after the last update of the Yoast SEO plugin to ver. 14.8 the problem is gone. End of thread.

    Lucky for you, it works for you, but not for me.
    I have over 15.000 pictures running, I am changing my theme and moving to another server, so I have to rebuild many pages and also the galleries. Can’t take over the old gallery, because the old theme can’t be changed, WordPress won’t work anymore.
    To get back to the gallery… It’s the same problem as described above and I have disabled all plug-ins except one!
    Only Gutenberg works fine, unfortunately it’s not an alternative for me, because my pages run with WP Bakery.
    Wordpress is version 5.5, PHP is also up to date.

    We have launched NextGen Gallery 3.3.17 that should fix the problem with the Insert Gallery Window.

    Hey thanks! Now it works perfectly again!
    Thank you very much for your great work.
    One more thing. You are doing a great job, it has to be said. Otherwise many people just come to complain if something is not working properly. It is not self-evident that you give out such a great plug in “for free”.
