My entire site resides in a subfolder which means that brand new sites can be created, fully populated with interesting and working content prior to releasing to the world. ?? You can also switch from one “live” site to a totally different “live” site in a moment if you decide to upgrade.
At face value this is additionally a modest security feature as the WordPress folders and files are not in standard locations. However, there are give-aways that mean if you know where to look it is not too hard to identify where the alternative is located.
Only the index.php is located @ public_html. I guess from the comments I’ve read during my search to find a solution to this that many others do the same as me and if your plugin is looking for the “wp-admin” folder via absolute site root it is not going to find it. It needs to use a relative path.
Hope that helps.
