Gallery on front page: pagination does not work

    I’ve come across what looks like a bug.
    To replicate create a static page and insert a gallery. The gallery should have enough pictures to trigger pagination. Set the page as your Front page in Settings->Reading. Access your site via FQDN, the static front page opens and displays the fist gallery page.
    Click on “Show as slideshow” or on the buttons for other gallery pages. The action shows you your latest posts.

    We have a network installation I do not know if the same is true for standalone installs.

    What can I do remedy this?
