• I run a photography business and am using a Photocrati theme which, by default, selects a gallery to be my Home Page. However, I’ve been told that I should use my blog as the Home Page, rather than the gallery, because Google will see the gallery as just a lot of Flash and ignore it.

Is this right? I thought Google was able to go into a site and pull out all the relevant pages during its crawl.

In short, would I be better off having my Blog as the Home Page rather than my fancy gallery slideshow?

My site is here: https://www.richardbarryphotography.com and as you can see the gallery displays when people first land on the site.

Appreciate any help on this as my Google listing ain’t great!

    Cheers

I think you’re fine, given the type of site.

I would suggest changing the title of that index page, though.

<title>baby photographer, Perth, babies, newborn and family photography,</title> should be the META desc, not the title. The title should be ‘Richard Barry Photography’ or such ??
