Gallery page redirects to homepage

Hey guys,
I’d really appreciate some help here as I have no idea whats causing this.
I have a gallery on my website at the permalink /gallery.
It was working fine with the plugin eazyest gallery but when I removed the plugin I find that now when I try to visit the page it just displays the homepage instead.
I’ve tried removing all plugins and re-installing wordpress but neither solved the problem. All other pages are fine, its just the gallery. If I change the permalink to gallery2 then I can view the pages but as soon as i change it back to gallery it just displays the homepage again.

I’m really confused as to why this is happening.
Any ideas?
