Gallery pages redirect to same URL with slash added

Is there anything I can do to stop every single gallery from redirecting to itself just to add a trailing slash?
This is happening on https://poppysspecialfriends.org/photo-gallery/
For example, the plugin creates the link on the photo gallery page for
which when clicked redirects to
And it is not just the main gallery link, all the stuff that goes with it is also redirecting – images, slideshow, page 2, etc.
All of these redirects are showing as “status code: 301 (object permanently moved)” on my reports.
I have gone through every setting and cannot find anything that might be making it do this. Could it be the activate permalinks to nggallery option?
I am running the latest version of NextGEN Gallery (1.9.12) on the latest version of WordPress (3.5.1).
